Your Soul
| Monica is going back to Africa. In her first trip to The Ark (an orphanage) in Namibia she found the kids were all barefooted where she was diging thorns out of her shoes everyday. This time she would like to take as many shoes as possible. Please go buy a few $2 pairs of kids flip flops (ages 4-15) at Old Navy and donate them. Here is the flyer. If you would also find it in your heart to distribute this flyer further, here is a high-resolution printable copy. For my own bandwidth costs, if you are just going to view it, click this one. | |

I highly recommend that you don't watch this DVD. It will turn your stomach. It will show you how much we take for granted and how much we have to offer these children. This is a story of a couple of OC kids that went to the Sudan to make a documentary on the effects the civil war had had there. They found nothing and went to neighboring Uganda and found an atrocity in action (for the past 25 years!). This is still going on and it is completely unacceptable that we (through apathy) allow children to be tortured and turned into soldiers. I've given them some money for the next film, I bought the first DVD and I've written my senators and now I'm working on my next moves. All proceeds go to the non-profit trying to do something for these children. Pay the $20 even if you don't watch the DVD. Click here to buy it now. |

I go to chuch at The Rock Community Church in Yorba Linda. Pastor John Werhas spent two years teaching us the book of John. It was an amazing experience and I hope you can come and visit us sometime. Highly recommended. |
I keep wondering what we could ever do to combat a tyrant like Joseph Kony (See Invisible Children below). I keep coming back to one of my heros. Only through non-violence can we ever win a war. All through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall, always. - M.K. Gandhi I found Carol Moore's site full of Gandhi quotes. Very cool. My

Please sign the petition and agree to boycot Exxon even if you can only boycot for a week. This company continues it's rogue environmental policy and has failed to pay all of the punitive damages awarded to fishermen and others injured by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. That is unacceptable. Do something good. 26Aug2005 |
| I'm a Sierra Club member and I'm also working on becoming a leader. This is a great group and if you like the outdoors, they sponsor trips every weekend. You don't have to be a member to go on a trip, just ask me and I'll help you find a trip. | |
